5 Signs Of A Yeast Infection and How To Get Rid Of It Quickly

According to the Mayo Clinic, 3 out of 4 women will experience a yeast infection at one point in their lives. Once you get a yeast infection, you’re more likely to get another one.

It is estimated that nearly 80 percent of women have unhealthy vaginal flora (that make up their vaginal bacteria) at any given time.

Are you a woman with any of the following?

  • Vaginal itching that is often severe.
  • Vaginal discharge that is usually white, thick, clumpy, and odorless.
  • Red, irritated skin around the opening to the vagina (labia).
  • Pain while urinating when urine touches irritated skin.
  • Pain in the vagina during sexual intercourse

These are tell-tale signs of a yeast infection
.
The imbalance that allows the overgrowth of yeast to happen can be due to:

  • antibiotics (they lower the amount of lactobacillus, or good bacteria, in the vagina)
  • pregnancy
  • uncontrolled diabetes
  • weak immune system
  • poor eating habits, including a lot of sugary foods
  • hormonal imbalance near your menstrual cycle
  • stress
  • lack of sleep

Fortunately, scientists have identified specific species of BENEFICIAL bacteria that are especially effective at protecting vaginal and intestinal microflora, providing resistance against the overgrowth of decidedly unfriendly species of yeast and bacteria.

Of all these acid-loving, or acidophilus bacteria, clinical trials have shown that bacteria of the genus Lactobacillus, in particular, when consumed orally daily are especially effective at establishing and maintaining healthy vaginal microflora.

Helps Manage Vaginal Health

health Probiotics  such as Lactobacillius Acidophilus have been proven to reduce infections by increasing the good gut flora and restoring the requisite balance.

Probiotic treatment restores the balance of vaginal microflora. It plays a major role to help heal vaginitis, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, bladder infections AND urinary tract infections.

It is also interesting to note that women who DO NOT have adequate vaginal probiotics double their risk of getting HIV and herpes simplex infection. Moreover, they quadruple their risk of getting gonococcal infections and chlamydia.

Warning: Do Not Get Your Probiotics From Store Bought Yogurt.

‘If I Eat Yogurt, Should I Still Take Probiotics?’

You are probably wondering why using nearly any commercial yogurt might not be as beneficial as probiotic supplements. After all, traditional cultures have been consuming cultured, fermented foods like yogurt for years for digestive health promotion.

Look, traditional yogurts were phenomenal sources of beneficial bacteria due to their raw and unpasteurized state. Most of today's yogurts are pasteurized, unless specially purchased raw and unpasteurized from a local farmer. Sadly, pasteurization radically reduces most of the benefits.

Even most of the yogurts certified organic by the USDA are pasteurized in some fashion.

So what  is wrong with pasteurization?

Well, it basically kills or sterilizes most of the beneficial and other bacteria during the heat processing. And some yogurts (particularly the frozen ones), don't contain any live bacteria at all.

As a whole, we're less exposed to bacteria now than in the past, including beneficial bacteria. Antibacterial products, hand sanitizers, and the like have made for a world that's a whole lot cleaner, but is it really that much healthier?

Due to strict food safety regulations, less bacteria (including the "good" ones) survive the manufacturing process. Many overly-processed products, just like yogurt, undergo pasteurization or sterilization destroys the beneficial bacteria.

While this may be helpful in some ill-health prevention, it also means we are exposed to less beneficial bacteria.

A Woman’s Friend for Life

The word probiotic is a compound of and indeed, favorable to every aspect of a woman’s health through her entire life. And with helpful bacteria less available in our food, it's even MORE crucial it is to consider supplementation with high-quality probiotics.

Incorporating an effective probiotic supplement into one’s daily program is really an essential part of every woman’s health strategy. Not only will probiotics help to maintain hormonal balance but a good supplmenet will also insure a

1. strong immune system,

2. efficient digestion,

3. balance moods and vibrant energy,

4. urinary tract support, vaginal health AND strong bones.
